ROLF IN DALLAS
March 23, 2008 by dr. lam · Leave a Comment
As many of you know, I completed my series of ten Rolf sessions to straighten my posture, straighten my legs, and to get my forearms in alignment. As you probably know, in most cases after your series of ten, you are basically done. I had another session yesterday (“post-ten work”) with Michael Solberg, and it was again amazing. He remarked that my forearms were so bad from fat transfer that he had not completed all the work in my forearms but he has basically finished the work yesterday (with maybe a little more). He also noticed that my stance was slightly off (which actually I noticed too). Within 10 minutes of my Rolf session, I stood and walked and noticed immediately my feet were aligned. Thanks Michael! Btw, wait ’til you see this incredible unpaid written testimonial from Mike Modano of Michael’s work. It should be up sometime next week I believe on his site, www.solbergcenter.com. I will be helping Michael tomorrow night film some basic videos for his site. For anyone wondering, I do not make any money off of Michael except that he is a tenant in my building. I just believe in him and his vision!
Please tell your husband…
March 20, 2008 by dr. lam · Leave a Comment
I had a very nice lady come in the other day who wanted to do her lips, stating, “I don’t want my husband to know.”  When I heard this, I thought this would be a good blog entry to share with you what I shared with her.  I am always leery when I hear that a spouse does not want the other person to know for many reasons.  First, I do not want to be held responsible if the spouse finds out.  Second, I think a relationship should be an open and honest one to prevent troubles down the road.  I would also suggest that you bring your spouse in during the consultation so that he or she can understand what I am offering so that there are no questions at all about anything.  I do not want to find out that what should have been spent on a child’s education was placed in my hands and then a spouse gets angry or whatever.  I simply want every patient to know that I support cosmetic enhancement but I encourage an open and sharing relationship with one’s significant other about any procedure.  What if you have an unexplained bruise or something or swelling?  How do you explain that?  Will you carry a guilty conscience if you don’t tell him or her.  Just some thoughts.  You are a grown up individual.  I am not here to tell you what to do but to offer you thoughts about what you should consider when you withhold information from a person that probably should know what you are doing.  If you have questions, please bring them up with me during a consultation.
Getting My Anti-Aging and Vitality Reports Back: What an Eye-Opener!
March 19, 2008 by dr. lam · Leave a Comment
Here’s my first testimonial to the power of what I have in my building at the Anti-Aging and Vitality Center of Dallas. Â I got my 25 page analysis back a couple of days ago and wow! Â I have had blood work before but nothing like this. Â First, I found that my testosterone and progesterone could be boosted so I am on a cream for that. Â Second, I found that I was slightly hypothyroid. Â Now, how the heck did my blood work for the past 10 years miss that? Â Simple, they never checked my reverse T3. Â That is a useless thyroid hormone that for some reason my body is shunting over to so that even though my total numbers looked about okay, I was really functionally hypothyroid. Â In addition, we have more sensitive reference ranges, so my TSH was actually found to be slightly high (confirming the hypothyroid condition). Â Finally, most people use synthroid, but synthroid replaces T4 which is not my problem so I am on bio-identical T3 replacement, specifically what my body is deficient in. Â
Next, I found that my aldosterone level is WAY out of whack. Â I have NEVER checked my aldosterone. Â My adrenals are burning on fumes. Â I was told that within 6 years with my aldosterone level that I could even have a chance of having an adrenal tumor. Â Thank God I found out. Â So now I am starting spironolactone to rebalance that as well. Â I also had my first micro-infusion therapy and feel great today. Â My mother had it done and she was wiped out for 2 days but I was told that because I could smell and taste the infusion (which I really could) that I was reaching high blood levels quickly and my body would not need to go through a detoxification because it is in good shape (yeah baby!…at least something is right.). Â
Anyway, just wanted you guys to know that even for a 39-year-old healthy guy, the revolution this center is having on my body and will have on it is astounding. Â I think I am going to shed pounds without even blinking. Â Interestingly, my mother told me that there has been a record high number of men coming to our center. Â I think a large part is that our doctor, Linda Ho, is simply tremendous (ethical, smart, and kind). Â Also, the other center where these men were going was charging $23,000 a year for a fraction of the care that they were getting with us! Â I am very proud of Dr. Ho and what our center has to offer. Â I am living proof of it!Â

MY LECTURES ON FAT GRAFTING AND HAIR RESTORATION IN CARTAGENA POSTED
March 12, 2008 by dr. lam · Leave a Comment
Just got back from Cartagena during a serious time of political unrest. Â Thank God I made it back okay. Â I gave three lectures at the 5th International Congress of Facial Plastic Surgery on fat grafting, hair restoration technique, and marketing for hair restoration. Â They are posted in the video lectures section of this website for those who are interested. Â The crazy photo of me was taken at the Opening Ceremonies (when I was bored out of my mind with all of the ritualistic pomp and circumstance) by the staff photographer who was taking candid shots. Â Obviously, mine is a bit more candid.
