deion sanders hair transplant consult for prime time love

Just as a reminder, I will be on tomorrow night (hopefully) on national TV on Deion Sanders’ show Deion and Pilar:  Prime Time Love.  During the episode I will be conducting a hair transplant consultation with Deion in my office.  The episode will air Tuesday night, April 29, 9:30 pm CDT/10:30 pm EDT, Oxygen Channel.

TAKING MONEY FROM COMPANIES

dallas plastic surgery money trap

As most of you know, I lecture very regularly nationally (almost every month) and thankfully less often (once or twice a year) internationally.  As you probably do not know, I do not take honoraria or money from any company.  That way, when I lecture I can remain scientifically unbiased (as far as that is possible).  I am not opposed to physicians taking money but it poses a very difficult ethical dilemma for them if and when they lecture.  Most oftentimes, when I see a “mouthpiece” for a company get to the podium with their disclosures listed up front, I leave the room and don’t bother to listen to them because their scientific integrity is truly suspect (in my opinion).  I shall most likely lecture on behalf of Medicis these coming months to year because I like the product (Restylane/Perlane) a lot and love teaching but all money that I collect will be directly forwarded on to charities (that deserve the money more than I do).  Anyway, just thought you would like to know my opinion and position on this matter.

NEW REVISION RHINOPLASTY AND FULL FACE FAT TRANSFER VIDEO DIARY

dallas revision rhinoplasty patient

As you know, I have been working hard to expand my catalog of what I like to call “Patient Video Diaries” which are snapshots at home on a daily basis of a patient’s recovery from their vantage point.  I think these videos truly help a prospective patient reduce or minimize the fear of having a procedure done at the same time as previsualize the week ahead (which will also help reduce an individual’s concern.)  I have just uploaded a new posting by a dear patient who was willing to share her story of her week following revision rhinoplasty (both cosmetic and functional [she couldn't breathe]) and full facial fat transfer for facial rejuvenation.  I hope these videos help you.

What a milestone!  We have just reached 1000 posts in our “Ask Dr. Lam” forum.  You guys have really made this forum a success in your daily questions.  I am really proud of the information that I have been able to disseminate to you, and I hope that the general public has found it helpful.  I look forward to reaching 2000 soon!

Patient Testimonials

patient video testimonials about plastic surgery

I think that patient testimonials are as important as great before and after results, especially when they are as moving as some of the ones that I have received.  As you know, patient testimonials are a huge part of this website including extensive over 150 video testimonials, diaries about their recovery, etc.

One of my patients who wrote was worried that her beautiful testimonial she submitted would disappear in the morass of Q/A’s that are received daily in the “Ask Dr. Lam” section.  Therefore, I decided to create a new “Patient Submitted Testimonials” section that bridges the “Ask Dr. Lam” submissions and the traditional video/audio/written testimonials section.  The new “Patient Submitted Testimonials” can be found in the “Ask Dr. Lam Forum” section.  Thanks for those who have been kind enough to spend the time to write about their experiences with me.
