BEST INVENTION IN A LONG TIME!

September 3, 2008 by

I am going to talk about plastic. No, not plastic surgery, but military grade plastic. I accidentally encountered this product when I joined an iPhone fan site on Facebook. I was looking for something to protect my new shiny black iPhone. My first iPhone was cracked to pieces (giving me a great excuse to upgrade.) As you guys know, I am very aesthetically minded (thank goodness right!). So these beautifully designed products by Apple should not be shrouded in some ugly plastic holder that you can’t see through except how ugly and bulky the cover is.

Instead, I just bought the Invisible Shield by Zagg. Wow! This 0.2 mm thick plastic is so thin, you can’t see it but you can scratch it too death with a key and you won’t even scratch the plastic. It was initially designed to protect military helicopters. There are some incredible YouTube videos on this product that will blow your mind. I will list them in a moment. Last night I covered my Macbook Pro, my Macbook Air, my iPod Nano, and my mom’s iPhone. I have wrapped everything. You can’t see anything on these products. It is beautiful.

The company is public since I think 2005 according to their site but I don’t own any stock. I should have written about this product after I bought stock! It does require a little skill to apply. It’s not that hard but I was talking to a friend of mine who had to throw it away because he screwed it up. I think you should be fine. Just apply it patiently. There is this little spray process that is pretty easy. Just squeegee out the air bubbles.

Okay, here are some crazy videos on YouTube:
Watch this scratch test first:

Here’s a dude that forgot his iPhone on the top of his car and was driving at 80 mph and with the sticky quality of the Invisible Shield, the thing did not fall off. You have to watch this craziness. Don’t try this at home.

Here’s a guy that drops a bowling ball on the plastic from 3 floors up and there is no damage to the plastic. In fact, if you damage it, they will replace it for life.

Here’s a guy that stacks 1000 pounds at Gold’s Gym and puts an iPhone under it. No problem.

I am rarely excited about a product, but this one is truly legendary!
